I'm messing with it too, can you explain what address you set the breakpoint on. and the address to change bytes.. I will work on it tonight. I can help you with this.
Guys - I know your all eager to activate your copy of Windows 8 but it's pointless you keep asking questions about KMS server's - When the server(s) is online i'm sure you'll be the first to hear about it.
Best words that I heard today. It's True. There no working server now, go some sleep, wake up and I'm sure there will be working server in first page of this thread.
Hi all Is there no way that the users making the online kms servers can provide us with the host KMS key they are using so we can activate via a local kms server ourselves. Thanks Adam
That will probably get the individual/group/organisation in a LOT of trouble. It's in their agreement when they purchase the key, I believe.
I was just about to install the non-N version of Enterprise... but it appears the KMS is down. So, do I have to wait for a new server/activation method if I reinstall? Or can I use my current activation somehow on my N version of Enterprise?
Just a thought. I noticed one can backup the activation settings. Isn't there a way they could be located on the disk and made available for other users to download so that we could restore them as if we had made it ourselves? get an app to do this for us every 6 months and there, you have you permanent activation
It sucks because I had my copy of Win8 activated but then I had to do a system restore and the activation is gone If anyone does have a server they'd be glad to share via PM, I'll be happy to use it once then never speak of it again. Thanks! edit: Nevermind, going back to Win7 due to some performance issues. Perhaps drivers or whatever aren't ready but Win7 seems to be better suited to my hardware. I'll revisit Win8 in a few months. Good luck guys!
I like this idea. Even if Microsoft pushes out an update to break it, won't it be like that update they put out to break the Windows 7 activation? Just avoid installing that particular update.
Which tokens.dat, the one in Store or the one in WSLicense? Also, since you mentioned the key, I assume you mean the default Enterprise key listed in another thread here and which partially shows up with slmgr /dlv (ends in X2BQT). I was surprised when I noticed that Belarc showed a completely different key for me....
The first post says that the known Windows 8 KMS servers are down. Ok, so I have discovered a bunch of Windows 7 KMS servers... I haven't hit a Windows 8 KMS server yet though. Code: 178.209.93.158 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.94.67 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.103.46 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.127.9 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.127.42 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.230.45 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.234.126 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.239.141 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.251.23 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.251.241 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.253.19 = Windows 7 KMS Server 178.209.254.191 = Windows 7 KMS Server
