It won't be damaged because it's already activated, and you still get 10 reactivations per machine from the key, if you ever needed to. Activating a new machine will decrease the remaining number of activations for the key by one. If your organization's KMS is a VM it could be copied and run on another host without affecting the activation count though. If the 6 activations from a host key are used up you can still request the limit to be increased by MS, so even then the key isn't useless. I doubt they'd unblock a key if it leaked publicly though, they'd probably have to issue a new one.
I really wonder if you have used any of the slmgr requests.... like slmgr.vbs -dlv and slmgr.vbs -xpr I really wonder if or now he Activated if it was not with KMS.... I also wonder how many have used a script to try an activate and failed to -ckms sorry failed to mention MSDN gave me several keys also... like 5 for x.y.z. and 5 for a.b.c. and 5 for d.e.f.
no such thing as "permanent" activation at this stage ,unless you activate ,and then stay offline. many of us are using activated "RTM" at the moment ,but until it has its official release, dont feel too cosy . microsoft has shut down many keys over the years when too many users use the same key ,they wont do it once the general release has happened ,as it will affect too many legit users .but until then ,its a case of hoping things hold ,and " dont count your chickens" syndrome. if indeed Daz is working on a solution ,then its obvousely good news . guard you key ,cos if too many use it it will go belly up . and that goes for mak keys too , keeping mum until after general release is allways the best policy .
Uhm,actually even if you stay offline, you'll be activated just for 180 days,so that's not really a solution. Then there's the other hiccup, that even driver updates tend to break the KMS activation,so in a sense the computer should be frozen at this stage with the first generation of Win8 drivers (with bugs and other 'features' scattered in 'em) and updates to keep Windows activated the whole 180 days
the more everyone activate now the more Windows 8 RTM gets publicly tested like the real user finds bugs and gets fixed ...... so GA release updates will be smaller
Hi, I accidently used slmgr -upk on my windows 8 enterprise. Can someone please give me a product key?
Just look at this forum, the key's existing several times! Or check with Microsoft Technet. And do your own work and don't ask other's to do that for you.
