you require a RETAIL key for core, wait 12 more days and you can purchase one. the KMS key you posted that states "gvlkCore" is for Server 2012 CORE not win8.
if the kms server dies and new one pops up.. i will simply point the same dynamic address (....mooo.com) to the new kms ip if i find more kms server i will just round robin them on that address... either way it will work as long i keep the dynamic host update
If the dynamic strategy works for the future, I don't see any reason to pay any further fees to Technet e.g. edit: ... and would make an offline KMS obsolete editNo 2: and does not brick so many Bioses due to Slic stuff
vymrdal, and many other people simply do not understand the distinction between something that is "copyrighted" and something which is available "to the public" without copyright. A "copyright" is easily obtained my adding the copyright symbol or words and registering the material with the copyright office. The point is (assuming) Microsoft filed the appropriate Copyright documets with the U.S. Copyright office (and also in other countries) and, having done so, that material IS subject to U.S. and other nations copyright laws. Its just like their instruction manuals, which are also copyrighted. They are freely distributed with their products and available on the internet, but those facts have no bearing on whether they are entitled to copyright protection. It's no different than the New York Times website on which they publish their "news" articles. They have the following copyright notice on their website: "All materials contained on this site are protected by United States copyright law and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published or broadcast without the prior written permission of The New York Times Company. You may not alter or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice from copies of the content. However, you may download material from The New York Times on the Web (one machine readable copy and one print copy per page) for your personal, noncommercial use only." I haven't checked directly, but I believe Microsoft has similar language on its website. Again, the only issue is whether they have filed for the appropriate copyright and have been granted one by the proper legal authorities. And while they are waiting for a decision on their application, the material remains protected. The only way they would have no copyright is if they released the materials to "the public domain" without copyright notice. I have seen no evidence, or even the claim that they have done so with the KMS Keys listed on their website or in their written materials. Regards,
Guys, don't you think it's time for a law thread? This is KMS only and confuses many users, who need information about activating W8
Yes, there is no offline way right now. Since this is a KMS thread, you must mean via mini kms or others that were used in windows vista/7? Well again answer is no offline solutions yet. Just use the KMS server right now and you will be just fine
Can I activate Windows 8 Pro if I installed Windows Media Center? I know what is written in the thread but I couldn't understand it.
