KMS host keys allow for 10 reactivations per machine. It probably considered the VM as "the same machine" and activated. The key will be permanently blocked soon enough. Since it's a KMS host key for Windows client it will also install on Windows 8, and it will only activate client editions. It will not install on Server 2012 (which will only accept server-type KMS host keys, and activate every edition).
Well blocking this Key is pretty useless for MS. I've MS Blocks that Key, we still can use the KMS that are Activated with this Key, so there is nothing that MS can do.
They can't "de-activate" installations, but of course they can (and will) block the key from being activated with MS.
Yeah, blocking further activations won't do anything against the activation backup. My point was to explain why online activation worked for SoLoR, and why it will not work for long.
