    Think about that very last comment you made, "or just simply wipe your data clean from that drive". Do you really think any company can legally format you hard drive. What about people like me that has 4 hard drives and they format all of them or the wrong one by mistake. There is no way MS or any legit company could do this. The other options could happen, i.e. can't log in etc and even that I find highly unlikely.

    It seems that you have 1000 rearms on enterprise edition, so if rearm does work, even valid for one day, you can still use it for almost 3 years, and by that time, Windows 9 will be probably released.

    @testplayer The Rearm is Useless because there is no grace period on windows 8.

    In win7 if the OS determines that
    1. your key is no good, or 2. it is not on the same machine ; it will give you 3 days to re-activate; after that you will get a "black wallpaper treatment", where you can only do 2 things:
    1. You can connect to web, so that you can re-activate
    2. You can copy files, so that you can back up your files and forget about the OS.

    I don't know what would happen for win8,

    91.149.135.83:1688 Is online (responds to ping) but not working.

    EDIT: Error message says invalid data. I guess it's not enabled for Windows 8

    Hahahaha. yea I was being sarcastic.. Just want to know the worst it can happen

    btw I tried 91.149.135.83:1688 - UNCONFIRMED (Unknown if successful activations have occurred with this server.) ....... NOT WORKING
    got a different error from last 2 working IP address : i got ERROR 0x8007000D the data is invalid
