ATM i´m downloading a solution, which contains a kms host image and a client one for vmware (player included). Whole pack is about 6GB big. As said the client should do his job within 30 minutes.
Will report, when i can confirm that . Still loading.........................
    Regards

I have the same question. I finally got my count up to 25 and activated my desktop with my kms but when I try with the wireless laptop it comes up with can't reach the kms server. I am on a router also. Any ideas.

Ok I did everything correct yet its still showing me 20 days left to activate. Please tell me when I am doing wrong.

    02. Created a new VM and Edited the uuid.bios line then installed Win 7 Pro (x64) into it (no key used during installation).
    03. Started it up on the VM, installed KB2757817 fine.
    04. Disconnected connection.
    05. Disbaled UAC.
    07. Followed instructions in pdf
    08. Inserted KMS host key.
09: Re-enabled connection and rebooted VM.

Yes I put them in the correct area's. I did it by shutting down software protecting, taking ownership or the files and replaceing them then install KMS key

Ok successfully able to run kms server. Now i need to increase the count. I know you have made a post on how to do that. But that doesnt make much sense to me since i dont know how to create a vhd file. I have created another VM running win 7 pro though. If u can explain what i need to do now to increase the count using the newly created VM will be much helpful.

note sure if it helps, but the pdf says it should be done the other way around, eg: first install the key then restore files
Did you restart the software protecting afterwards?

can you atleast explain what u meant by
"Download & Create a wim2vhd directory and file structure like so:

    /activate/
    activate.cmd
    bcdboot.exe
    Imagex.exe
install.wim (NOTE: one that includes Windows 7 Professional, i used 32-bit because it is a bit smaller)
    Unattend_Client32.xml
    WIM2VHD.wsf"

Edit: I am able to increase the count by following the method mentioned in this post by Hack. Thank you Hack. You are great

    Geez

make a root folder, download and place WIM2VHD.wsf into the root folder, make a folder 'activate' in the root folder, create a file activate.cmd in the 'activate' folder, edit activate.cmd, paste in the command as shown in guide, create Unattend_Client32.xml, edit Unattend_Client32.xml, paste in the xml as shown in guide, find bcdboot.exe and copy it into the root folder, find Imagex.exe and copy it into the root folder, extract install.wim from Windows 7 iso (one that includes professional) place it into the root folder, run the command in the root folder to make the vhd

    now, how hard was that?

I'm going to leave now, this is simply too exhausting :(

    1. I used VMware workstation 9.
    2. I installed another VM Win7 pro client image using a Win7 pro client KMS key.
    3. Run slmgr commands from that image to increase the KMS count. This will increase the count by 1.
    4. Run slmgr -rearm on the Win7 pro client image and reboot.
    5. Using VMware I created a snapshot of this image. In VMware go to the VM tab and create a snapshot.
Now to increase the count to 25 I booted the snapshot image and ran the KMS commands each time.
    6. In VMware workstation go to the VM tab scroll down to snapshot and choose revert to snapshot. When it ask do you want to revert to snapshot choose yes. Now using VMware pick power on this virtual machine. The VM image will reboot you will need to run the slmgr KMS commands again.
Do this 25 times to increase the count to 25. Yes, it takes a lot of time but it works.
Note I had the KMS host virtual image running while doing this.
This worked for me, the explanation might not be the best.

Or automate the client VM process and it takes half the time, then run the VM once a day after that to maintain the count. If you use hyper-v it's very easy to automate the whole thing so you don't need to remember to run the client vm daily, it will do it automatically.

Open firewall port 1688 on host, connect client to same router.
    On client, as usual:
    slmgr.vbs /skms 192.168.x.x:1688
    slmgr.vbs /ato

From a external address you need to forward port on your router to the internal host IP
/skms will be your ISP IP:1688

I guess it just doesn't work for some of us. I have tried to install this 3 times and I always end up with this error.
    ---------------------------
    Windows Script Host
    ---------------------------

    Name: Windows(R) 7, Professional edition

    Description: Windows Operating System - Windows(R) 7, VOLUME_KMS_W8 channel

    Partial Product Key: B4W3F

License Status: Additional grace period (KMS license expired or hardware out of tolerance)

    Time remaining: 43200 minute(s) (30 day(s))

    ---------------------------
    OK
So I will download this preconfigured Setup.

Did you change the required information in the VM configs based on what VM software you're using? If not then that's why it didn't work for you.
