UNRELATED QUESTION: If I want to use my KMS publicly, is there a way to do that? I am going thru a router. I remember along time ago a service that I could use but I dont know if it is available anymore and if it is I forgot the name LOL. Can anyone help me out?
I know that but what I mean is there a service that will provide me a static IP address that people can access my KMS service even if my ISP IP changes?
something like dyndns.com, no-ip.com, dnsdynamic.org, zoneedit.com... much more to choose from, simply google for 'Dynamic DNS Service'
And i presume lets say i use no-ip.com. for my kms server it would be something like "lunar21.no-ip.com:1688" ?
Is 25 machines threshold stored in that files too? If so, how useful is this backup, when data is time related. Premised it´s working, what happens, if backup is restored in more than 30 days? Will the count expire due to there were no activation attempts by unlicensed machines during that time span? Regards
25 threshold is stored in files & after 30 days or before 180 days (if you don't need activation daily) you have to run dummy requests. Or just replace data.dat file from latest upload if any , will work
Yes, 27 at this time of posting KMS host activation is restored, if restored after more than 30 days, count will be 0 again Yes
Yes, and you can use any given port, as long that you forward the routers port to your kms.host.ip:1688
