As I said it is my uni KMS server. I am just running the no-ip URL from within my uni network/VPN (took a while to do hence me wanting you guys to test) to allow yall to use when needed. Will wait a bit and if everything goes well i will reactivate it for yall. Till then you can over use the mooo server LOL
Hi, I activated using the KMS activation method just fine. But now I wanted to check the activation using "Activate Windows". It says my licence will expire soon. But it also shows it is valid till April 2013. I'm also getting a message in the Action Center to activate Windows. And in the My Computer -> Properties, it's showing "Product ID not available". Is this normal behavior? P.S: By the way, I can't customize the Metro Screen etc just fine.
Oops I panicked, and reactivated using KMS. So I guess checking slmgr -dlv is pointless now? Also, actually I meant I CAN customize the metro screen even though activation was having problems.
Anyway here's the output of slmgr -dlv --------------------------- Windows Script Host --------------------------- Software licensing service version: 6.2.9200.16384 Name: Windows(R), Professional edition Description: Windows(R) Operating System, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel Activation ID: ******-*****-****-****-********* Application ID: *****-*****-*****-*****-***** Extended PID: *********************************** Installation ID: ************************************ Partial Product Key: ***** License Status: Licensed Volume activation expiration: 259196 minute(s) (180 day(s)) Remaining Windows rearm count: 1000 Trusted time: 20-Oct-12 ****** Configured Activation Type: All Most recent activation information: Key Management Service client information Client Machine ID (CMID): *************************** DNS auto-discovery: KMS name not available KMS machine extended PID: ******************************* Activation interval: 120 minutes Renewal interval: 10080 minutes KMS host caching is enabled --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
Can anyone tell me how to configure my kms host to be used over internet using Hyper-V. I have created a bridge and did port forwarding but port remains closed!
No this is my uni's server. Still working on mine. Prob is my router. For something like that to work it needs to have a dyndns account put into it and they charge for their services soooooo still trying to find a work around LOL. Till then happy activating
i am able to make it online. My router was on different ip than my modem. So I have to change my router to Access point and forward the port using my ISP modem. And I used no-ip dns. Hope this will work for you
