Explain your problem. next Are you using ATM to activate? have you tried manual restore of activation? Which KMS activation download you are using for this? Have you disabled network before inserting KMS key?
Will there ever be a permanent activation solution for Windows 8? Hi. Thanks strike91 + PaulDesmond for your past advice. Q. Will there ever be a permanent activation solution for Windows 8, so that I don't have to keep activating every 180 days? Thanks, CrVMo
Does that really matter if you have your own in house KMS server? If you have your own server it's pretty darn permanent lol.
i tried activating Windows 8 Enterprise in VM ware, but couldnt activate, i used the method in the first page of this threat. is there any change to it i get a msg saying i have activated successfully but still watermark is there and as usual its the 90 days version. countdown also dnt change.. Any idear how i can fix the issue ??
seems you are running that useless 90 days eval copy. You will never get to a real point with this version. Install a real one and you have real fun
Come on. I tell you what: I got keys from Technet etcetera to feed fish with but my fun is to get the thing running without money. My own KMS machine now tells me, that I must not waste my precious keys. These are just in case now You can do the same only if you like to
Hi, I think that a lot of people, including myself first, are not being told (because the instructions only mentioned for WIN 7) that you must stop SPPSVC service!!!!!!!! FIRST, then run ATM. I am quite sure that is the drama. See below my success with the manual method QUOTE Easy way to restore activation manually on windows 8. Booting to safe boot not required. 1. Check SPPSVC service is running or not . Run Command Net Stop SPPSVC. This will stop service if running. System schedule the Software Protection service to run at intervals & you will not find it always running. 2. Go to folder C:\Windows\System32\SPP\Store & delete tokens.dat & data.dat. now go to C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\cache & delete cache.dat 3. Now Copy downloaded activation files tokens.dat & data.dat. to C:\Windows\System32\SPP\Store cache.dat to C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\cache 4. Make sure the files are not read only in step 3. 5. Install the host key. 6. Check to see if windows is activited. For me these steps worked. UNQUOTE I have now installed WIN 8 Ent in another physical machine and not VM and works as genuine as anything(THIS IS A CLIENT, OK?) then contacted my KMS internally and activated. Downloaded 426 megs of uopdate and all is well. SLMGR /DLV tells me I have my 180 days........................
Lol. same for me. I have a few dreamspark and TechNet keys and have not used any of them. It is much more enjoyable to activate without any cash. Being able to run our own activation servers is so ironic. You know if MS would have allowed me to purchase keys when Win 8 went rtm I would have spent my money on it.
I am with you on this I am not that impressed with win8 and will properly stay with 7 as my main OS as you said the fun of it is to just be able to activate without having to pay money which I don't have Its a bit like fishing for non edible fish you are not going to eat them you just want to go through the motions and catch the big one
Sure it is. It is also possible to add Windows 8 Professional N, Windows 7 Enterprise N, Windows 7 Professional N, Windows 7 Enterprise E, Windows 7 Professional E, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Business N, Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows Vista Enterprise N ...
