On client pc: After manual activation you can run: slmgr /ckms This command clears the kms hostname Windows will not check anything.
@sukinsin88: That's the way I wanted to do it as well. It's not possible. (1) You need to have Windows 8 Pro (non-VL), or else you won't have the "add features" button. (2) After clicking that button, WMC is automatically added, the key is only valid on this new W8ProWMC! (3) After that, you can save the activation files (ATM). (4) If you don't want to go through this whole shebang on a next install, then you can use the new ambidav "Win8ProWMC" iso to install, and activate with the saved activation in (3)
NO This command will set KMS client to search for defaults set by MS to look for KMS host. Like DNS , Domain etc & log a event when not found. Client will follow VLActivationInterval, VLRenewalInterval keys value set in registry. This command will clear HOST address & force client to follow bigger chain to renew its activation.

Not realy... Documentation states that a specific kms host is used with the /skms command, /ckms will revert that to standard automatic detection of a KMS host (being MS server) when not in a domain.
so after 2 restart i go to activation and click activate and see this everything was ok withows in now acitavated on 30.10.2012 so it is unlimited ? and now i dont want this stupid media center can i uninstall it ? and windows will be still activate or not ? View attachment 18619
Hm, why uninstall? Simply don't use it if you don't like it. Uninstalling probably results into unactivated situation
Afaik you can only uninstall WMC via Up/Downgrade-Trick, but you can disable. Will test in VM if it deactivates this way . Will report back....
i uninstall media center and after restart i see windows 8 pro with media center system succesfully activated on 30.10.2012 also on desktop is no more watermark win8 pro with media center i dont know why is always show in pc settings windows with media center but is activated !!!!
first i install slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kms server was 5.102.152.201:16 cos mooo is shut down... and now can i disable kms because w is activated with key? so use slmgr /ckms ?
