Yep, figured out too . Due to i´m silkened by VM Ware, the little lack of comfort in VBox was driving me slighly crazy . Had problems changing the Hard disk uuid, after doing so machine refused to start. Will test this later on. Have to work a bit in real life later .
i have experienced problems activating Vbox when using version 4.2.4, reverting to version 4.2.2 has no issues for me.
4.2.4 added a proxy feature in the settings which seems to effect activation for me...... 4.2.2 works flawless. btw, win7 and WES7 VMs can share the same backup as long as the uuid info is same.
Quick question.. Besides the KMSmico (witch is working great btw - just that I like to tinker with other platforms, create my own, etc as a learning curve) has anyone been able to create a Windows 8 (or win 7) under VMWare or VBox or ESXi 5.1 to activate "Office 2013" - (I was able to add Office 2010 to a windows 7 under ESXi 5.1), I have not seen the host key for 2013 anyware yet.. if so, and someone has done it, can share the backup files? the only version I have seen able to activate 2013 is the KMSmicro... just wondering... Thanks!
That, my friend... is a bummer! and btw, I do thank everyone involved in such great and awesome job creating and developing such great tools: Activation helper, KMSmicro, etc, etc, etc).. hat off to you guys... this is a wonderful job and very well done.. my respect to all of you...
Never underestimate an army of tiny minions at work (counting them before is highly recommended)...this started Tsunami is still cycling around this planet . And that one only harms MS . (really hate when tokens expire while typing a post :fuyou31:.)
KMS micro will work in Windows 8 directly (since it is QEMU-based); also, QEMU actually has less stiff host requirements than either VirtualBox or VMware (which is why it still appeals for low-memory hosts). Further, QEMU doesn't interfere with either one. One thing I'm hoping to do over the weekend is test out compatibility of KMS micro with Server 2012. (Not to activate it - this copy of Server 2012 is, in fact, already activated and quite legit! However, can it co-exist with hyper-V? Since I don't have hardware that supports SLAT, if I want to play around with Hyper-V, I must use Server 2012. If KMS micro can work with Server 2012 Hyper-V, it certainly should with Hyper-V in 8.)
Yep, know that . Quemu is running in VM Ware likewise fast for me. Due to running VM Ware WS i´m not able to test in Hyper-V, but i don´t miss too much, VM Ware is much more comfortable for me. Some here, like me, are more interested in the activation data, than a quick and dirty solution .
Hey it's me again, i had some problems activating office 2013 on win8 yesterday, i just came to report that i managed to activate it on 2 computers now. The problem was spybot search & destroy, after un-doing the immunizations and disabling the firewall i was able to successfully activate it. Thank you all for your help!
U see hyper-v as a computer on network? router? The problems I've seen so far was by misconfiguration of virtual machines.
I have been successful in running KMSmicro 3.10 on server 2012 while also running Hyper-v. I was able to activate locally, but I have been unable to activate using the internet.
Yes, I have several other vm running and can access them without difficulty. I can't get the mini kms to even boot. What configuration do you use?
