    Did you use any command to activate Office through KMS server? I want to test the same with my KMS server. I was able to activate Server 2012 using slmgr -skms xxxx, slmgr -ato & slmgr -ckms.

    ramg1967, you used "ckms", so the KMS server info is removed from your system. If you keep it or reinstall it (slmgr -skms lunar21.no-ip.org), then install Office 2013 VL, I believe activation is automatic (actually forgot about this myself, but tested it a few minutes ago, and it does seem to work that way).

    rrohela, thanks, I will immediately save that script along with my Office 2013 iso (converted from Retail to VL, again thanks to MDL). It's just that I didn't remember that if you set the KMS server *before* installing Office 2013, the activation is fully automatic.

    if you detect slow performance with latest FF version, something is wrong at your end. Let us get back to topic

    On Win8 especially, FF18 beta is fast as anything. Running with 14 add-ons so far. My FF installation on Win 7 with 20 odd add-ons is much slower especially at startup ;)

    ---> Running FF and Palemoon on Win 8 WMC (64 Bit) (KMS+MS WMC Promo :p ) and Win 7 Ultimate (64 Bit) (Daz :p ) :D

    @ Tia - FF is never gonna be as fast as IE10. Or Chrome for that matter. Those are scorching, Yes. But that's not what you use FF for. You use it for it's customization options. What you lack in a second or so of startup speed, you more than make up for in the wide array of customization options available to the power user ;)

    You won't find any difference in the rendering speeds though between IE 10 and FF18 on W8 in the real world - forget the synthetic benchies.
    As for Chrome, I have sworn off it after a single download many moons ago :mad2: Yes, it will be fast because of it's background rendering of pages which I neither prefer, nor require. Especially if you're on limited bandwidth connections, it's terrible. Also, nobody auto-updates anything on my system without my expressed permission (or even auto connects to the home server for that matter - Google, MS - no one). And nobody sets a bunch of 'Google Updater' tasks without my consent either :ranting:

    Also, increasingly, with faster net connections, rendering speeds are how fast a page is displayed on the monitor of the end user is less and less dependent on the browser engine and more and more on your connection speed. So there.

    Of course, I'd like my FF and it's Gecko derivatives to be faster, but if I do have to compromise, I'll much rather sacrifice a bit in start-up speed and get something that I can actually make my own. :yes:

    The weaknesses though remain the old ones. Speed - or lack thereof and memory leaks (a lot of which has been fixed in v18 - I'm given to understand)

    Statutory Disclosure - Little bit of a fanboi. :p Have used it ever since it's Netscape Navigator days as a little kid learning to program in GW-BASIC :yes:

    hello lunar21;

    just tried to activate Windows 2012 std with your KMS (lunar21.no-ip.org - port 1688), I have a ping, but no KMS Server has been contacted (error 0xC004F074).
    are your KMS server down at the moment ?

    Thanks again for the great work (Respect :worthy:)

    Server is on for me, tested with Server 2012 Standard. So the usual procedure: check time zone settings and sync your time against internet time server. GVLK (client key) is installed?

    DAZ "magic" has nothing to do with KMS activation on both 7 and 8 platforms. So your problem if losing activation has to do with heavy hardware changes or such

    no i mean on windows 8 :eek: , so updating drivers will not remove the KMS activision :D

    even if you loose activation by changing hardware you easily can reactivate using an activation solution by either doing it against a server on the Internet or by local application like KMSdrunk etcetera :D

    to help you, we need more information. Which W8 you use, installed with the right key and ran command as admin!, absence of hacking crab, time zone adjusted etcetera. Screenshot of error message sometimes helps ...

    Oh ok, sorry. I'm using W8 Pro edition, and I first used the ipk key found at ms site for pro ed. as this post says to use. Win 8 Pro Build 9200. Ran cmd "as administrator" using right mouse click on the program itself in file manager. First slmgr for key says: "Installed product key XXXX-XXX-XXX etc, successfully. Second slmgr /skms for lunar21.no-ip.org - port 1688 returns "Error:Activation ID(-) not found." . Popup window has heading of "Windows Script Host".
