Windows 8 KMS Activation

Didn't mean to dis Heldi or anyone, trying to figure out the MS mess is all. Forgive me one and all for I am but a humble sinner striving to survive on a inhospitable planet!

 

Gads, I have to THANKS Heldigard 1000%. everything I have is Validated via VAMT3.0 and other sources in M$. genuine, validated and Activated by KMSnano by heldigard .

I also have added several of his programs to a FAST Seedbox for those who use the magnet links.....

@MGrotz use any of the KMSnano v xx Automatic ..... they work they pass M$ test... they validate with VAMT 3.0

to do this, first you need to install pro, convert it to 8pro VL and activate with KMS. Then you use the free MS Media key and do the magic and convert it into something legal. Find the instructions on MDL

Thanks to Heldigard and PaulDesmond and everyone for their help, I re-installed win8 and tried the normal? activation route but no luck. Same message as before. Finally ran KMSnano and that turned the trick! You guys are awesome! I've leaned a lot in the last couple days bout scripting and other things just by reading and listening to you guys, Volume licensing is much less complicated to me now. I'm familiar with the old VB coding and scripting stuff but all this is pretty new to me. Again, thanks a lot you guys!!!

 

but ii allready have win 8 pro vl apperently ..but add features dosent show up in system , thats why i want to convert to normal.
when i installed win 8 i didnt type any key , only the retail one after setup was complete to activate my windows. is there any cmd command that shows what version i have? retail or vl?

 

Again: Because you probably installed from pro_vl media. You have to use e.g. en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso and install using the generic VL key.

 

These are the SHA1's for VL versions. Compare with your iso, would be easy enough.

AFAIK, the VL doesn't have what is needed to install WMC. This is why Pro regular is used.

Right, that's Pro VL iso, you can't upgrade to WMC.

This is a perfect example of how you create confusion by posting inaccurately, without enough care and attention to detail. You used the phrase "convert it to 8 pro VL", which made stefan7 think that he needs to have Pro VL edition. This was wrong. You enter a VL key, but you don't convert anything.

Also, stop using the word "legal". It isn't. It passes all genuine and validation tests (for now), but that doesn't make it legal.

thanks, worked perfectly. KMS activation and WMC key still working. got an activated copy for free

 

My copy of 8 Pro is whatever the microsoft store has you download. I use the bought serial(Retail) to activate my machine. I use the same copy of 8 to do the activation we talk about here but use that serial from technet and then from there I use them WMC free keys to make permanent. So mine shouldn't work on other machines right? Or is mine VL as you say it needs to be? Thanks for clearing this up for me.

 

That would be a retail copy. You have a retail key (the one you bought) and used it to activate right? why do you need to use a VL key to activate via KMS (the activation we talk about here) when you already have an activated copy using your retail key?

Your what would not work on other machines? your retail key? yes, it won't.
