People, help! Till now, I have installed Windows 8 Pro 9200. I used KMSServerService 1.4, and everything worked great. But ... I went under the option "Add new features", took a new key from the Internet, and when we are all installed and restarted, I have new version of Windows - Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. Expiration is on 05th Juny 2013. I must say that I reinstall KMSServerService 1.4, but, again, activation expires 05th Juny 2013th. Now, I do not know whether it was all right and whether you KMSServerService 1.4 does its job as it should now with WMC version? Please help and answer whether was all right. Thank you!
murphy, I did just like you said, W8 are activated, and this in turn to the 05th Juny 2013 again. What happens after that date? Any chance to remove WMC and still using with KMSServerService 1.4 with key *****-*****-*****-*****-J8CK4 which I have before? Is that possible?
As said KMS activation for Core and ProWMC version lasts 30 days, simply reactivate regularly to avoid running out of activation. In case it runs out of, it will only promt you for activation. Activate again and all will be fine .
If during upgrade windows failed to re-activate then it will not show expiration date, regular prompts will be for activation....
It's not that simple. The upgrade process changes windows features. TBH I haven't ever actually done some of the downgrade methods. Just a guess, but I'd say a proper downgrade would require setting the version back to Professional from ProfessionalWMC, disabling the Media Center feature, then changing the key and re-activating... Like I said tho, I haven't tried it... You should try searching around a bit more, I'm sure people have done it before...
