Yep that's mine... running CODYQX4's KMS emulator with random server PID generation on. I'll try to keep it up and running for as long as possible.
No surprise.... As there is running the Emulator by CODY it will (in opposite to a real KMS Host) even activate Core and ProWMC .
How would Core or ProWMC be activated against KMS emulator? I thought retail versions didn't have KMS licensing?
I use the 8.1 (pro) preview just as that: A preview... (no immmediate need for activation). ... but still, if I wanted to try this gVLK activation just for the heck of it, I could use the W8 Pro gVLK (...J8CK4) on it with slui /ipk, then it would activate? (Since I have the emulator already running, using Murphy's $oem$ folder)? Or does it have to be the Core version (as there are two system images in the .wim) and the W8 Core gVLK? (...27GG4)? Thanks!
Nope, the Win 8 keys won´t work, you need as said the keys from Win 8 Release Candidate. See first link in my post above yours. There are keys for both Core and ProfessionalWMC.
Thanks for your quick reply, s1ave77. Things can get a little confusing, nice to see you're still at the bleeding edge of stuff. I just have too many sideprojects at the moment, I'm afraid I'm a bit confused from time to time. Sorry, I didn't look at the right list. There was no title on the second list, that confused me a bit... So the ...3YFJ6 key is for 8.1 Core Preview installs, and the ...WB2HQ is for 8.1 Pro Preview. (but you don't mention Pro, only ProWMC, why?) But the method in my previous post should work (current install running Cody/Murphy emulator service)? Thanks!
Yep...exactly. Only assure you´re using 127.0.0.2, as for the Preview applies same as for Office 15 on Win 7. Seems to be hardcoded, that 127.0.0.1 will throw an error. Btw: Thanks for the flowers....
Thanks, all working now. I entered the key [didn't have to set 127.0.0.2, guess it's standard in Murphy's folder], did a reboot, activated now. Next step is to do a clean install (as I said, I use the Murphy folder, so my W8's are activated right from setup), with the gVlk key embedded into setup, see if that works. Thanks again s1ave77, you saved me a day of testing and a lot of frustration. (Most of all: frustration at my own stupidity). I will save your list of keys for later use, I hope our little (semi-private, sorry) discussion will be helpful to others. Oh, and:
As our little chit-chat is slightly connected to KMS activation, it should be legit to do it publicily .
Has anyone made a 7 AIO or an 8 AIO with Auto KMS, Multi OEM Branding, auto install Office and auto activate Office?
