I am not sure whether that was an answer or a mockery of my question. If it was an answer, it's clearly vague.
Does MTK 2.5.1 activate Windows 8.1 with Update? A=Yes it does. Anyway, if you have any trouble with it you can pick one of various nice KMS solutions in my signature.
I have OCD and I don't want any additional .exe, firewall settings changed, or have an .exe run up on every startup.. 3 line command activation is what i like, though there doesn't seem to be any servers out there
Only a 1 time thing every 6 months so not really. But usually I could find a server on MDL all the time up until a few days ago.
I updated the first post a little bit to re-direct people to the Microsoft Toolkit, hopefully this should prevent public activation server begging in this thread. I also updated a few links and removed some now defunct information. Please notice that any external link now uses the dereferer.org service to keep MDL off referrer logs.
So others must do the job and expose their connections to serve lazy people, which are safe and comfort . Hopefully noone answers ... fortunately i don't know any online server atm .

Run vlmcsd on your router or in a VM. If you have this OCD, you're probably running VMs for proper isolation of other stuff already, right?
I've activated with KMS Dashboard, and would like to know what to block now to stop the OS calling home. I've searched through this thread and can't find the relevant info, could someone who knows point me in the right direction please? EDITED to add: I think I may have it, is this what I should be blocking after KMS activation? EDITED again, I can't post links, so can't post what I think should be blocked. EDITED...again! I checked the Windoes 8 firewall rules and it looks like the KMS Dashboard has already taken care of things. I've attached a snapshot showing the KMS rules, allowed and blocked it has created. So all looks good, and hope this may be useful for others to know. View attachment 28476
I have 2 versions of Windows on 2 different machines. - Windows 8.1 Pro Volume, Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Both activated with Microsfot Toolkit, no problems until recent. Both machines show activated under Windows Properties, but now I get an error across the screen from Windows saying I need to activate. Going to PC Setttings, Activate Windows, it tells me on each machine that the "license will expire May 28th". I try to use Microsoft Toolkit 2.5.1 again, and I get the error of "Error Code: 0x800700D" "Error Text: The data is invalid" Did a Windows Update mess something up? Any Ideas? Thanks.
Did you install AutoKMS? The error indicates that the local host bypass is failing, mostly due to issues with the Anti Virus .
