Hi, When I updated to Win 10 Pro I used "KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-16" and all is doing fine. I have successfully upgraded to RS2 (ver1703). I have an issue with Win 8.1 Pro... I wanted to ask how can I make the "KMS host caching is enabled" when using "KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-16". In Win 8.1 Pro I previously used MTK 2.6.2 but decided I use the "KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-16" so I will have auto-renewal. Everything went well but I just noticed that whenever I check the Win 8.1 Pro partition it's "KMS host caching is disabled". I do not know how to remedy the situation so when I see that it's "disabled" I activate all-over-again. I re-activate by first removing the SppExtComObjPatcher script by running it as Admin and then Activate-local scrit to re-activate. After that I run the script "3-Check-Activation-Status" and it shows there that "KMS host caching is enabled". I seem to notice that after a time (I still do not know when it gets de-activated though...) --actually after a successful image backup I check the status and there it is "disabled". I should have checked "before" backing up though but regardless of that I am scratching my head why it get's disabled often. Any ideas? This is only in Win 8.1 Pro partitions and not in the Win 10 Pro. I just do not understand why does the "KMS host caching" get's disabled eve when I re-activate again. What can I do to make it permanently be "enabled"...? Please help.. Thank you all!
Just got windows 8.1m, can I get a TLR of this thread please? 332 pages isn't reasonable to expect me to read yet I want to make sure I don't have any trouble with this install further down the line.
Not sure but I don't think it's possible or even required.I think all activations(key or kms) are all handled by a common service & disabling this service will result in activation issues regardless of the type of activation used.Maybe @abbodi1406 can confirm this.
Another one. 3+ years registration on MDL and you never bothered searching. Apart from the post right above you that points to the right place, you could use the search function of the forum.
