    Is it safe to link your Microsoft account to your activated copy of Windows 8? Safe to use Windows Update?

    Can verify it works. Just reactivated an already activated machine and it extended my activation from the third to the ninth of February.

    I know I already asked, but can someone confirm for me that my now registered windows isn't going to kill itself if I don't take some precautions? More to the point, should I make a firewall block any specific connections, or should I do anything else to secure my registration?

    me too..i tried a VAMT with the 1.4 activator..i tried the cmd lines ,i changed the dns server to google and every time the same .."CANNOT CONTACT TO THE SERVER'' I use win 8 enterprice..i tried the gogo too but cant connect

    I have default Windows 8 settings but my wrt320n is using ddwrt firmware. It is set to use the google DNS server. I didn't mess with any of my network settings either just my router using google dns which it has been for months anyway.

    Those who have done everything right like time setting, gogo6 conecting, running cmd as admin but still can't get it activated, just reboot your pc and try again. This worked for me. Happy activating :)
