Windows 8 KMS Activation

    I was already activated when the original server was out and tried this just for kicks. Using Win8 pro x64, typed in the 2 commands by running command prompt in administrator:
    slmgr -skms benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net
    slmgr -ato
    and it activated no problems. It changed my expired date to 2/9/2013 from 2/3/2013. I did not mess with any ip settings.

    Yep, that is exactly what KMS is supposed to do - extend the activation for 6 months.

    But these activations have an expiration... I didn't know it.

    Activation

    The benderrodriguez solution works fine for me :rolleyes: Windows Pro is activated. :biggrin:

    :confused: not able to activate Windows 8 Pro x86. I followed every step. Error:KMS Servor can't be contacted. Is the server down? Can some1 check?

    Guys,

    I've just managed to Activate mine and a mates PC (Windows 8 Enterprise) - All I did was:

    Set my Preferred DNS Server to: 8.8.8.8
    Set my Alternate DNS Server to: 8.8.4.4

    Rebooted

    Open an Admin Command Prompt

    And typed in the following commands:-

    cscript slmgr.vbs /skms benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net

    cscript slmgr.vbs -ato

    I hope it works for you guys

    I followed everything but for me it was 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 and that succesffully worked for me

    just in case, how can I change my preferred AND alternate DNS? I am lost here
