you can modify registry settings to fool the win8 install dvd into thinking you're running win8 pro, then do a repair install i believe the only key it checks is hkeylocalmachine/software/microsoft/windowsnt/currentversion ==> editionid

funny, I didn't have to set all that time zone crap when I activated the pro version the second time after trying to put wmc on.. booted up, went into command, entered the patches and wah-la! so is setting the time zone even necessary?
Did you run this first? slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX_XXXXX_XXXXX_XXXXX_XXXXX replace the X's with the proper key for Enterprise or pro or what ever version you are using
