Please look up the instructions on tunnelbroker.net or their forum about any issues. I have set up many HE tunnels so I know it can be tricky. The important things are that your public IPv4 address must be configured on the web site as the tunnel endpoint (and needs updating when it's a dynamic IP), it must be responding to outside pings, the tunnel endpoint configured on your machine must be set up with the correct local IP (tricky if assigned by DHCP) and the router must allow protocol 41 to be forwarded. Depending on the router, this may not be an issue at all, but it can also be very complicated.
Troubleshooting this is way outside the scope of this thread. I suggest trying to find instructions on how to set up tunnelbroker.net with your specific router model first.

Tunnelbroker works much better, but it's also be more difficult to set up. I have set up an HE tunnel on my router to provide IPv6 access for the entire network. The tunnel never once went down on me. Also, no messing around with setting up a tunnel on any PC on the network. :)

    Work, perfect.

    For Windows 8 Professional

Open command prompt with admin rights

Type: netsh interface ipv6 set teredo client

Disable your internet connect (nic= network interface card)

    Enable your internet connection

    Try doing, "ping benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net"

I installed, activated and tested it on my HTPC. It gave me a bothersome, unintuitive, highly irritating and downright nasty user experience. Thank all that's holy I made a Win 7 backup image before I tried it out. I tested it in a VM first, so I kind of knew what I was getting, but I needed to get the feel of the system outside the VM.

I think I'm going to run Win 7 for a while. If M$ can't cough up anything better than this, I think I'm finally going to convert to Linux:)
