    I AM NOT SURE IF REINSTALLATION WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM ..I THING YOU INSERT WRONG KEY..CHEK IT WITH THE v1.4 activator

    To anyone trying to get rid of Windows Media Center, or trying to help anyone here to do so. Windows 8 Pro can be restored and you can revert without losing your settings, apps, and programs.

    regedit
    hkey local machine => software => microsoft => windows nt => current version
    export current version reg backup
    change edition id from "ProfessionalWMC" to just "Professional"
    run install disk
    select "upgrade options to keep settings and programs"

    I went through this yesterday myself, but it's now buried deep in this thread. i hope this helps someone.

    Installed right now W8RTM with above key (***J8CK4) in Virtualbox and I got W8RTM activated by default!!!

    The reason it's a IPv6 server is because it's a bit harder to track down and eliminate. :)

    I don't think so. It's run through an IPv6 tunnel from HE, who are acting as an ISP in this case. If MS can get an ISP to disconnect a client for abuse reasons, so will they be able to get HE to shut down the tunnel. It's just a matter of time.

    Good finding. Although it is easy to maintain and hard to find out, MS has all necessary tools to screw such servers. BTW, it will be interesting to know their source of KMS server key...:rolleyes:

    The Camera app from the store is not running in Windows enterprise N.can anyone confirm this?

    OK can anyone please confirm this,


    We know that we cant activate windows 8 Pro with WMC, so if I upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate I wont be able to activate it?
