The server is probably down. I ping to the server(benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net) but it show could not find the host.

I don't think you need to reinstall the loader just boot into windows 7 and set it as the default boot os and that should bring back the old windows 7 boot menu. I have tried that!!!

Just set win7 as default and it will bring the win7 bootloader back.

For win8 bootloader, it actually first boot into win8 to load the metro bootmenu because there is no room for it in the boot sector, therefore if win7 is chosen, it has to set the bootloader to boot into win7 by the BCDEdit /bootsequence command, and then reboot to get out of win8 drive and unload all win8 boot files

    @ FaiKee
I would of expected Windows 8 to clear the boot sector during its installation, thus the need to reinstall the loader. And I remember when some builds leaked before people said their Windows 7 went non-genuine, but by simply installing the loader again it fixed everything.

I think DAZ is talking about the windows 7 loader to activate windows 7, I just noticed, yeah after installing windows 8 I have experienced that windows 7 becomes deactivated by simply running the windows 7 loader it activates it again.

I didn't use the win7 Loader, I had guessed the win8 bootloader wiped the Loader stuffs, but running the Loader in win7 is a simple and fast operation anyway. :D
