After scanning pkeyconfig - there're indeed 5 types of Win8 Core editions:
    Core
    CoreN
    CoreSingleLanguage
    CoreCountrySpecific
    CoreARM

I suppose MSDN image is for "just" Core. It won't accept neither CoreN keys nor your "CoreSingleLanguage" key. Probably you still need another disk, don't think it's leaked.

Do you mean you are still not able to insert your OEM key by slmgr /ipk ? if I remember rightly, I just tried slmgr /upk and then /ipk on my fresh install, then it got activated with internet connection... Maybe the root cause is there is no singleLaunguage Edition in MSDN-ISO, so OEM Key would not work. just my guess...

I'll give it a try in my lab to see if it could be activated in that case.

I think CoreSingleLanguage and Core are different SKU's, and CoreSingleLanguage only comes with OEM. So MSDN iso won't accept CoreSingleLanguage keys.
The only way I think of is to dump CoreSingleLanguage SKU licenses files from an OEM image and import into a MSDN image.

This command doesnt work a message appears saying '"Error: 0xC004F069 On a computer running Windows non-core edition, bla bla"

I guess I need to wait to someone who fool msdn image into the CoreSingleLanguage :(

Yes, I just verified this case on my CoreCountryspecific edition(i.e. Win8 For China) and I got the same error. the best way I think is contact your laptop Manufacturer for reinstallation...or maybe you can ask some OEM guys for help...

What are you talking about o_O?

Replace the data file and try the slmgr -ipk to see if with this file now the system accept my oem key :O?

Nope, this means first upgrade to Pro with any Pro key, then to ProWMC with a new free ProWMC key, then use data.dat trick or phone to activate.

You can upgrade with upgrade retail keys, you can't fresh-install other editions from non-OEM disk.

I just bought an HP G7 yesterday and it has Win8 core on it. So Formatting and fresh install with retail will not install? I need to upgrade to core with retail and then WMC? lol sorry this thread lost me somehow.

Blah Ill see what it does, never mind hehe

well that worked. I restored a backup image from another PC that had Win8ProWMC to the new system and after it booted and setup the devices on the new system, I entered a new WMC key and I'm all good to go with ProWMC.
