Hi Tito, Thanks for your reply. I'm not totally on the ball regarding this But plain and simple; Where can i download the W8 Core OEM ISO? I have no clue wether or not it's SingleLanguage or SpecificCountry.. All i hope for is a NL version of the ISO (prefered) to reinstall this Acer V5-551 with the code embedded in the BIOS. I don't have access to MSDN.. P.S., Maybe some1 knows a source where i can download the Recovery disc ISO's for this Acer V5-551 (Dutch)? As in, is there some1 that has created the recovery DVD's (like i should have) and is sharing them somewhere? Kind regards, Jeroen.
Well, i don't have the key. The laptop came pre-installed with Windows 8. The HD got wiped (including all partitions) and there is no certificate, oem sticker or any other source where the key was mentioned. All i know / assume, is that the laptop came with the lightest version of Win8 x64 NL. I assume this is Core, and ofcourse, it's OEM.
Right now W7 is installed on it. I have the laptop not with me at this point, but i'll take a look at RW-Everything tonight and use that key in conjunction with Pidcheck Tool to determine the version. Thanks for your patience
Normally, if the OS were factory installed, you could enter the Acer Office/Service Center and ask for an re-installation. In Thailand that would be for free by Acer. In that case you would get the Dutch language. You may could also try to use an Windows 8 RTM, which contains both Core and pro and would install regarding to the Product Key, either Core or Pro. That works in Thailand as I had done that twice for customers Acer Laptops with OA3 Bios.
They are files pulled from a hp recovery partition, They won't recover your computer But you can use some of the files to make yourself a custom install using $oem$

Only if your pc came preinstalled with windows 8 then it will pick up your key from the bios and activate.
Small addendum: If the PC came preinstalled with Windows 8 and the OEM used the OEMM channel. Smaller OEMs might also use System Builder licenses, these need to be activated the normal way.
my PC is Win7 pre installed,, i have update my BIOS from the HP manufacture i don't know if it OA 3 or not, i wanna experiment this on my HP machine. after i extract the HP Download i've got couple of Folders OEM oobe Panther Programadata resources web i know some of them belong to C:\windows how can i add those folder to the Root of the DVD for a new installation? thank you
You are wasting your time it will not activate even if you have updated your bios with pre-installed windows 8 system OEM serial is embeded in bios and everyone is individual. You will not have serial number in bios.
