Did you copy the autounattend.xml to the root of the dvd-iso?

    I did.

It didn't work may be because my iso is Core Single language and autounattend.xml was for core ediiton ? Could this be the reason ?

Isn't the autounattend.xml only necessary if you want the other changes applied? I thought only copying over the $OEM$ was all that's needed for auto branding.

autounattend.xml sets the key, logos, wallpaper etc I think. I am not sure though. I would say I am a newbie.

Lenovo also has a beautiful screensaver in their ideapad series. How can I add that in other iso? If anyone tells me, which folders and files to look for, I will upload here. Its a 64 bit system.

    Good morning everyone!

I am looking for a way to install Windows 8 and 8.1 on systems that had Windows 8 preinstalled. (For example: hard drive crashed, installed new hard drive and reinstall OS without bloat from OEM or wanting to do a clean install of OS). Can someone direct me to the correct ISO to use for this? I'm not interested in OEM logos and that sort of thing, just something that will get the operating system installed using the license key in UEFI and that'll be it! Thank you. :)

In the event I had a system that was completely down (failed hard drive). How can I determine what version is appropriate for their system?

Thank you for the quick response! I did read through that, and if I am reading correctly as long as I get the right ISO for that particular system I can still activate via phone? My concern is a system that is no longer functioning, installing a new HD and then re-activating. I don't mind calling MS and activating by phone, I just want to be sure that would work.
