We could install client but switch all files that have to do with activation with their server brothers. It's a dirty frankenbuild, that's true, but if you use files from the same build it won't cause terrible disasters I think. Then just use server slp key and activate client with slic 2.2.
Old trick; while activating Windows 7 Enterprise, one guy here (can't remember) replaced the tokens from Server 2008 R2 Enterprise & then used the oem:slp key.

I can see it now. In a few months, "Windows 8, Fully activated" and John Doe/Joe Public will download and install all his apps and get his PC nicely configured and then, SPLAT, no updates or non genuine. All because a "wannabe" hero without any consideration for others has released his pile of crap. Sounds like RemoveWAT (Reprise) to me.
I didn't mean to use or make a tool so thousands of people can use it and then starts crying that it doesn't work. I meant that this is one way + to get past the activation. For client: KMS? Rearm? Frankenbuild? Server: DAZ Loader with SLIC 2.2? Rearm? KMS? Retail crack (internet or phone)? Very unlikely, but if nothing is left then here will certainly be looked at.
I'm all for activating Server editions, but I'd just like to see "hacktivation" avoided at all costs because ever since RemoveWAT was released it's caused everyone who helps out in the loader thread nothing but headaches. There wouldn't be half as many posts in that thread if RemoveWAT didn't exist. At this point nobody should be trying to exploit the activation system on any edition of Windows 8, because if anyone releases anything then MS will block it by RTM. People just need to be patient
RemoveWAT could have been good, but it would need to be actively maintained for the complete windows 8 livecycle. No developer can promise that cause people change, thins happen in live... Hazar himself is an example for that.
The problem with that type of exploit is that when it fails it often leaves a mess behind, either because the removal function doesn't work like it should or because people don't uninstall it before trying something else. And then when compared to a BIOS mod or the loader the result is much cleaner for both and you get true activation, but all you need to do is wait for a serial. Systems with exchanged tokens were never targeted because it wasn't a widespread thing. However, if that was used by BIOS modders or a loader then before long MS would block it with a WAT update or in an SP update.
I've no idea if KMS will remain in Windows 8 editions. If it does then I guess it could be another clean solution for the server editions at least.
Actually, I did change the product key to KMS client specified in product.ini on my Windows 8 CP and it worked except that without a KMS server, it won't be of any real use. As far as I can see, volume activation will still be there for Enterprise versions.
