There also some file named CmBatt.inf which is found on several locations:
    CmBatt_inf.jpg

Check your Registry for entries for that files! There should be several!

So, that seems to be that everything is correctly installed. Have you check the ACPI settings in Bios? That must be enabled!

in bios is check acpi. but I test reinstall Win8 (Pro x64) and now works but strange. I test it and when I +- restart windows 2x or 3x sometimes battery icon not showed. but when I again restart battery icon showed and battery works.

so when I turn on notebook and when in windows isnt battery I need +- twice reboot make it work. why sometimes it goes and sometimes not? but it is better than today afternoon:D

    Hello,

I have Acer Timeline X 5380TG, and I had the same problem, and I coud repair it. I install PowerSmart_Acer_6.01.3000_W7x64 and then, I go to the Device Manager, and I search the battery. there I selected it, and deleted. Then I right click - search hardware changes. It find new hardwares, and after that work's correctly.
Sorry for my English, I just now leraning it.

I realized, it's not enough, because, when I resarted te Windows 8, then the same problem appear :(
