Does this work with the RTM? I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work. Also is there a way to convert Windows 7 themes over to Windows 8? I patched the files btw
Hi ... I don't understand the instruction... perhaps someone can guide ? I downloaded the zip file and inside I found X64 patched DLL directory ( 3 files inside ) Readme say --- Patch: 1) Replace dll(s) ---------------- Where to replaced the file ? I tried windows\system32 but unable to overwrite the file.... Change to custom theme: 1) Delete the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\VSCache\Aero.msstyles_langid_96.mss file ------------------ I cannot access the VSCache directory .... 2) Replace aero.msstyles with cuztomized one ------------ where is the aero.msstyles file ? 3) Select theme Some things to consider Adding new themes doesn't seem to work replace aero.msstyles or aerolite.msstyles. Not the most optimal solution but it works. ( Don't understand ) ..
