Why do that to yourself?.. That it does not. Microsoft Security Essentials is a superbly inferior product, as compared to others in the same category (merely because it's produced by micro$oft). The reasons not to use it are too numerous to list, without clogging up the mydigitallife.net forum database. ;D ps. This isn't a troll post, so please don't report it as such. Besides stating my opinion, I am simply pointing to the facts and raising awareness for other computer users that may, or may not have doubts. pps. It's among the best AV solutions available on window$ currently.
The best a/v available is a smart end user, as stated above why waste resources on a temporary o/s anyway!
Because the HDDs might contain other data?..:$ It's 0k if the OS is tested on a virtual machine, perhaps in a sandbox..
especially in a milestone build.... I can understand testing AV in a Beta OS, but milestone? I have yet to see a good reason the only good thing that can come of it is that those AV makers read these forums and go: "Cool so it works on Windows 8 Milestone 1 and 2. Guys, we won't have to change too much of the code to make it work on Win8." until they see the Beta and realize that their code will have to be modified after all...lol
Avast! pro can be installed and updated normally on build 7955 (not on 7850), Avira personal not compatible with build 7955. Build 7850 just the reversal of 7955.
had the version 1 on MSe on my system validates fine and installs nice on 7995 upgrading to version and to see if it too works
ok do not upgrade after upgrade it fail validatiion i can upload the !st version of MSe if any wants it
Just wanted to say from my tests on build 7955 ESET and Avast both work but norton 360 4.0 and I am guessing NIS/NAV 2010 do not work. It blue-screens windows during install.
