Does anyone knows or find the solution how to install this damn W8 7955 on VMware Workstation:idea:, without hardware virtualization?

Referring to the information in the link you gave, is it absolutely necessary that I have more the one CPU checked, I only can do 1 even though I have Core 2 Duo CPU?

    Thanks

levomac: Do you try to install on a real computer, or a virtual computer, if so what program do you use. It's seems like VirtualBox is the only program working.

Heavywater88: So you can't change the number of CPUs in VirtualBox? Thats you're problem. I have tried now, and without at least two CPUs in VirtualBox, you can't install 9755. I have just started to use VirtualBox, so I have no idea how you can (and if you can) hack it so you can use more then one CPUs.

    Hi myken ,
I am installing on a real computer, primary active partition of 30 gb,

install always hangs on completing installation after boot, expanding files, installing features, installing updates occurs fine then computer boots to reach to completing install screen but it never finishes, just hangs there.

Thanks so much, I've checked the host firewall don't allow remote desktop to pass through (while the Windows 8 did). But unfortunately it still failed to work (same error dialog). I'm using the 2.49GB version, does this matter?

Strange. And you're sure your host computer uses the same IP range: 10.0.x.xx? If the host allow Remote Desktop, and Windows 8 allow remote desktop, and they both uses the same IP range, you should not have any issue. I have used both the Wzor .iso and a modified $OEM$ .iso, without problems. But there is so many .iso files out there, so I can not say that all work.

PS! Do you use NAT or Bridge networking at your virtual computer? I'm uses Bridged network.

I used NAT at the virtual computer and strangely my host computer doesn't use the same IP range, it used 192.1xx.x.xx. I'll try Bridge networking later, thanks for the big help!

EDIT: I've successfully connect via remote desktop by using Bridge networking, thanks so much, the only thing is Aero "Full" theme can't be enable. Thanks so much myhken!

    same problem here.
Host+del doesn't work and there's no response after pressing the host+del
