why don't you create a virtual hard disk and install windows on it, it's very good and everything works

    Boot-to-VHD - Easier way to install/test Windows 8.

Sadly, the Boot to VHD method is only available to Windows 7 Enterprise/Ultimate users. I have used this method for every release of Windows 8 so far.

I have so far seen no disadvantage to the Boot-to-VHD method. The biggest advantage is that you do not need to worry about breaking your bootloader, messing with partitions, or wasting HDD Space. I have every Windows 8 build imagex'd to a 30GB VHD. The VHD can also be easily moved or copied. Have Windows 8 how you like it? Copy the VHD.

Sadly, I am unable to post links/images, so I can only forward you to this article I found regarding VHD booting. Once I am able to, I can expand this article.

    VirtualBox problem

Hi everyone, I have a problem with Windows 8 7989 in VirtualBox.. I can't go on the Internet and I can't share folders with the host. I set the network to 'bridge' but it still can't detect my adapter.. And I can't install Guest Additions because Windows 8 isn't supported yet...
    Please help :(
(Btw. installation went fine, no problem at all)

Vmware or Virtualbox additions for Windows 8 M3 7989 64bits edition

I'm a big fan of leaked versions and usually I test them in either VirtualBox or Vmware workstation latest editions, I have both installed on my main computer and now I got my hands on the latest version of Windows 8 M3 7989 64bits edition and installed it on Virtualbox 4.0.10 but now I need to fix the annoying bug with my mouse not moving correctly, and for this I need the VirtualBox additions but they are not working for this edition, I may install Windows 8 in vmware if I'm sure that the additions there will work better.

I want some experienced people with this, I'm quite sure I'm not alone to use virtualization instead of real install to test this, any help or feedback appreciated.

There is already a sticky for this topic, and Super Moderator had asked not to start a new thread.

I will report back with the beta version of Vmware and I got my hands on a VirtualBox 4.1.0 beta1 too, will soon give some news about it cause I don't want to install pirated copy on a VHD cause my Windows machine is genuine and I know some of the bluepills and redpills can mess with Microsoft, don't want to void my 429$ Windows 7 64bits ultimate license just for that.

I got it installed on virtualbox 4.0.10 but the mouse act weirdly on my screen it doesn't go where I want it, I will install beta version of Vmware and VirtualBox and will report back in the correct thread that I was thinking was only for the server version of Windows 8, my error.

Here I'm reporting back from my brand new Windows 8 64bits M3 7989 virtual machine on Vmware Workstation beta, I even installed the vmware tools without problems except it was frozen while restarting (kept saying that the computer was preparing to install updates or something similar) so I restarted and its now working fine.

I got my copy on thepiratebay and when I go in Computer properties, it tells me its HP computer which isn't, any ideas if this version is Ok or I should download another one, and is there any ways to activate all the new features, to me right now, it looks like Windows 7 with a few extra things but no change noticeable.

Here is some other report, I can't restart, logoff or shutdown the virtualPC, it simply doesn't work, it keep saying logging off, restarting or shutdown but nothing happens, maybe there's a fix that someone is aware off, I use latest Vmware beta

Hum, what is a that, I'm used to .iso files, is this a new kind of files, according to my installation I didn't see any difference between the one I got and the normal installation of Windows 7
