Well all went well till i tried to run Max Payne 3. Total no-go. Even Rockstar indicates the game does not and will not work until Win 8 are released as they do not support Beta OS's
Not compatible with Consumer/Retail Preview: Opera 12 (at least through build 1440, which is very nearly final). How is it not compatible? It will hard-freeze a system within about 30 minutes of browsing around. What's the trigger? You must have EIST (SpeedStep) *AND* C States (C3/C6) enabled in the BIOS. If you don't have one or both of these features, or if one or both are disabled, you are exempt. AFAIK, they default to on in the Intel Core iX lineup, and exist in some Core 2 Duo chips as well. Not sure which AMD chips have these features. Opera 11.x does not have the issue. Opera 12 builds 1325 and earlier do not have the issue.
weird ssd life pro 2.2.39 works for me. then again it was installed before I upgraded from windows 7.
Microsoft Office 2012 I was able to install Office 2010 Professional but Windows did not find any updates. Weird. If I install Windows 7 and then install Office 2010, there are many updates to bring it up to date. For some strange reason Windows 8 is preventing Update from finding the updates for Office.
Does anyone else have issues with loading magnet links in any other browsers. The only browser I can open magnet links in is IE. Not chrome or firefox.
Maybe restart Windows and check again. A shutdown won't count as update install so the chance is high you got updates pending.
Magnet links dont work in Chrome v19, although they work in the v21 dev build, just Google "Chrome dev" EDIT: Eset Smart security is NOT compatible 100% since the HIPS driver is not compatible with win8, thus HIPS is disabled permanently.
I installed Office 2010 Professional this morning and got 17 updates right away. During setup did you answer "no" when the panel asking to choose "Automatic updates during install" or " Update later" comes on the screen ? If you tick "no" , you can changes your settings from the tray or from Windows Update panel.

Magnet links work for me on my Netbook running Windows 8 Release Preview 32bit. I installed uTorrent 3.1.3 (build 27327) and magnet links worked fine in Firefox 13.0 and IE10.
