Office 2010 is working without any problems.
    Office 2010 SP1 works also.

    Duke Nukem Forever working
Alice Madness Retuns complains about insufficient parental permissions

Again both on 7989, and any advice about fixing Alice would be great!

Just tried to install it and it gave me the usual failed message at the end, but the program has updated; however it's still not finding my MX Revolution.

Ninite installer works with 7989. Makes for a quick install of major apps on new builds to see what works!

This might be of some interest...

On Intel's site there is a Java applet that detects Intel hardware on your computer, this worked fine with Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64

But on 7989 it doesn't work with IE, Firefox or Chrome...

You need to install Intel's utility(it'll have pop up for you to answer) to detect your hardware for updates...

After some digging around I've found the reason Firefox crashes on certain webpages is down to the use of the @font-face css style used with .OTF fonts.
    And to fix it:

1 - In the url bar, enter: about:config and accept the warning
    2 - In the filter, enter: gfx.downloadable_fonts
3 - Right click on the first entry gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled and toggle it off

And that's it! it will stop your browser downloading custom fonts and should no longer crash.

Hope that helps a bit :)

Not only is nothing off topic in sticky threads, but off topic things are inserted into sticky threads by the mods.
