    Back on topic: I believe any type of start orb changer will hose your explorer.exe, so make sure you back it up if you choose to experiment with this. I would love to know why modifying explorer.exe in any way causes it to not work at all for me.

    Windows Live Essentials2011 worked on older builds but on 7989 it is unable to install.

    Have you tried the standalone installer?

    Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8.07 is working 7989 :)

    Yes i have tried everything.
    the oldest version i got to install was 7.5 lol.
    all windows Live msn things where unable to install.

    KIS has always had kind of a software personality disorder in my opinion. Won't install if you have Orbit downloader installed. Or Spybot. Or God knows what other software app it dislikes. Now we can add 8 to that list. A security suite that doesn't like the OS its supposed to be protecting. Imagine getting this message during KIS installation: "Kaspersky setup has detected the following incompatible software - Windows 8 - please remove incompatible software to proceed with KIS installation..."

    I guess there is real value behind the Certified for Windows X sticker :D

    Use Kaspersky PURE, its works fine on all Windows 8 builds. PURE is better than KAV and KIS.

    I dont like PURE either, in fact i dont like KIS 2012, the design is .... :puke2:
    Anyway back to topic,
    I have flash problems with Google Chrome .. so much lag on utube videos.
    The s**tty IE9 works like a charm :eek_yello:...

    i have very big performance issues, when i watch some... movie the FPS is going wild /sometimes 15FPS, sometimes normal WT*/, im so goin win7 x32 sp1 :D:D:D
    but the new edgy exporer frame is soooooooooooo cool :D

    Its becouse of flash plugin in chrome. You have to disable flash in preferences in chrome and thats all! I had same problem and now its working. (In adress type about:plugins)

    I try WMWare Workstation 7.1.4 on Win8 7989 but it does not work perfectly. Anyone have a try? How about WMWare Workstation 8 Beta?

    I think it's not necessary because i run it when i log in Windows by Administrator account and i disbale UAC.

    Okay, im gonna kill myself :mad:
    when i install latest nvidia drivers /275.33, and the beta/ the aero disappear ???
    So, 275.50-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-beta.exe and 275.33-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe are not fully compatible with this build :S.

    Problem:
    I have:
    Halo 1 :Combat Envolved
    Halo 2
    Infernal
    While im playing these games the mouse just stops working ... alt+tab mouse working ... after a lots of alt+tab, winkey+tab
    it works,and then again /after 5 minutes/ stops working :S..

    Hi, does Catalyst control center work yet on build 7989? And also, are there any ways to adjust overscan/underscan inside the os?
