    No, I've installed the iso in VMware 7.1.2 with VM hardware configuration set to "default". The setup went fine but during initial boot I get HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILED "BSOD"

    Anyone else also having this issue?

    ty for the upload but i downloaded this and went to install this and it is windows 7?????? says it on the install so i continued and after the install
    under properties on my computer it still say windows 7 and it looks like it too so this must be a fake???

    No it's NOT fake...This build of W8 uses Windows 7 installer and if you don't know W8 is at alpha stage so that is just normal....
