Hi guys Iv just updated a friends laptop to 8.1 from the win store.everthing went ok. It got to the stage of applying settings..I saw the "hi" message on the screen as I walked out for a minute. Came back and it appeared to be shut down.so hit the power button and the power light flashes 3 times....that's it dead.iv left the battery out for 2 minutes, took the battery out finger on power button for 30 secs...nothing.seems to be asleep?? No fan or hdd activity. Any suggestions. EDIT>>>>>>>> all seems ok now
