This is because we have not the right to speak the activations by phone but it's the best. no probleme after uptate
I would suggest the best free activation is by the NSBE int'l trick, get 4 keys of your own that you can re-activate indefinite times. Too bad good things do not last long.
The Windows version is determined by the version of the latest kernel update (ntoskrnl.exe). Just like with Windows 7, you could have hundreds of updates and hotfixes installed, but if you skip the update/hotfix that updates ntoskrnl.exe you will still have 'original' SP1 Windows version (assuming that you have SP1 installed). The Windows version information can be found under the registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion 'BuildLabEx' shows the full version string. For GDR, with the latest updates/hotfixes installed this will have build 9200.16424.xxxx, and for LDR 9200.20525.xxxx (.xxxx is date etc info, such that mine shows 9200.20525.amd64fre.win8_ldr.120926-1504).
Mine version number is 9200.16424.amd64fre.win8_gdr.120926-1855 Why I have 16424 instead of 16420 (like OP) Perhaps 16420 is tricky number
