It's not because of pressure! As everybody, I'm not perfect and do my own errors every day. Who wont to claim he didn't, I never saw such human! Except on Forums like this! Running directly in conclution whithout to recheck isn't appropriate in any means.

If someone don't believe me, fine and no problem as long as the reply is still polite! Other ways I didn't like! And such attitude isn't allowed in my company too. If I see one of my employees acting such, he could directly go home and start an court case on Labour Court with me and will lose because of our contract which is approved from the Labour Department!

Please recheck that those ISO I posted the checksum from is the same you use. And again, I use from USB Drive only, not DVD!

Google your claim & you will come to know that you are the only one who claim that MDSN image ask for key later....
To achieve this goal ei.cfg is the only solution & is every where...

The asking for the Key is just before finalizing the installation, at the moment as Windows tells that is preparing to personalize the installation.

There wouldn't be any problem to do that at the time I do the next installation of Windows 8 on my own. You'll get an PM from me as of the file is ready. That would be earliest tomorrow in the late afternoon because If some meeting with my auditor first.

@ pisthai, According to your SHA-256: f475d6dfd7f234f6bccee4a0e5feee3ad9b166edfa53190564 b31ac00aaeafa9 you have MSDN ISO the same as everyone else.

    Code:

Hey man that is very easy even i can upload clip to prove his claim... Trick is to add ei.cfg..

Something very interesting is missing .... We know that MSDN iso has two images, Core & pro. Setup decide based on key that which edition to install... But if you put ei.cfg then setup present you with option of edition selection....
But he also claim in very first post that setup asking for the Key just before finalizing & at this point it decide which edition to activate(Complete opposite from MS standard install procedure).... One can tweak install but never heard that changed its default behavior...

Intersesting pointless conversation. I would like to say that I used the MSDN ISO for the upgrade, see details below. I booted from the DVD and formatted the drive for a clean install. At the very beginning of the install I was asked for my install key. I don't know what the difference is in the upgrade ISO but I know for a fact that the MSDN ISO works fine with the upgrade key. I installed and activated on 2 PCs running Win7 x64 with OEM activation using SLIC modified BIOS.

    Windows 8 (x64) - DVD (English)
    File Name: en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso
    Languages: English
    CRC-32: a5889f86
    MD4: 1c06c693f1e68ce4d2ff4ecc45dd0388

The point in the pointless is according to you, you had W7 present on the drives at install , is that correct? You were not attempting to install to a bare or wiped drive, correct?

Correct, when using an upgrade key I would think that having an existing windows install is a requirement.

added a screenshot to my original post using the posted ISO. This was done on a virtual PC for testing purposes but the result were the same on 2 physical PCs.

EDIT: I tried a fresh setup without a previous windows install on VMWare to test. The results were the same as when uprading a current windows install. I didn't want to clean my Win7 to try on a physical PC and my testing PC is in use for another project ATM.

The claim being made here is that having a previous install present is not necessary with en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso
and the key will be asked for towards end of install ..

But he don't use this ISO or DVD to install... What getting is he is using this image on USB. No problem we all are using USB to install but ______________(Fill in the blank). How its different from our setup for same peace of code?
Its not too hard to prove for him that his upgrade media is looking for previous installation & showing this\that error. Just one screenshot...

He installed hundreds of PCs with same image & his claimed experience is totally different from our. He did not put ei.cfg then how? Still i am not in complete deny mode of his claim but big question is what is so different there?

Sorry but I didn't load up content from my computers to Youtube because of Security Reasons. All uploads could be traced back to it's original location by Google and others.

I've just some 30min time and therefore upload the clip to Localhostr. The clip was done with an Webcamera and an Laptop in my Office. Not very good, but good enough for to see the details which you looking for. There wasn't any key placed in at that time.

And to be clear I'll not answer any more questions which leading to accuse me in any means. I've done what I was asked for and that is it. Period!

And serious humans would send some Apology!

How do I know that anything you or others say is the truth?

But why I was expecting that you're serious? You're also same such guy who will not accept to be wrong, even after getting what asking for didn't stopping to set reality in question! You're not worth any more answer! Farewell.

I always accept that MS sold You Spl. Disc ... One and only disc created for Pisthai by Microsoft :worthy:

MS sold Disc, MS sold Images via TECHNET .MSDN To there customers - worldwide (except Pisthai ) - Result - ASKING KEY FIRST

MS sold Disc MS Sold Images to Pisthai - ASKING KEY LATER

Now what will we can do ?
Nothing. Until Pisthai share his Image or disc to us . This is completely MS Decision why they sold different images or Different Disc to Pisthai.

    Thanks .
