    After installing language pack, there are 5 new windows updates.

    KB2770917
    KB2779562
    KB2779768
    KB2785094

    It is said that they are performance & reliability updates. The size is around 210 MB.

    But these are already installed. Does this slow down pc?

    Some updates contain language-specific updates that are only installed for the language(s) you have installed at the time. Therefore you'll have to install them again if you add other language packs later.

    Hello,

    thank you for your nice articles about windows 8 language packs,

    now i have a problem, i purchased a new dell laptop here in china, and i do have the windows 8 oem iso for it, and i couldn't add an English language because as far as i know it's a Single Language edition.

    so is there are anyway to change the language manually within the iso to become an English one?

    thank you in advance

    core single language cannot be switched to other lp. You need to install a pro issue to do those changes

    Windows 8 SingleLanguage ISO can be changed to another language (we did it with the ru-RU one). However, if bought in China it may also be Windows 8 CountrySpecific. Not sure if you could change language in this one without collateral damage...
