True a lot of people just look for certain features that they use as long as it's there and works well then they don't care what OS.
I believe windows 9, if it is going to happen, would have the build numbers 9xxx. Now comes the interesting question: MS is currently keeping the 4-digit build numbers, what do you guys think about windows 10??(ha-ha). A. MS will start making 5-digit build numbers, OR B. They go back to use 1xxx ??
Or will they make something new, based on singularity? Windows 10 is still far away, we don't know what the future will have brought by that time... Maybe we are all running winpe, and is everything in the cloud?
Windows 9 is supposedly going to be for PC's and also a next gen Xbox (a modified version of course), which to me make sense. This would be massively advantageous for Microsoft as game developers only have to design games for one platform instead of two. I just hope that there is foresight in that games have 'Xbox' graphics and 'PC graphics'. The advantage with this concept is you could have two different Xbox spec levels, standard and Pro/HD, with Pro/HD being more like a mid to high end PC spec (and be saym $300 more than the standard Xbox) and ideal to plug into 42/46/55 inch LED tv's etc, but still being realistically priced. This strategy would be very signficant if Microsoft go about it correctly.
