@Tito, As I regard you as an expert on all these matters, I thank you for your "solution" and so I have to accept that there is no cure for revealing added MAK-keys. Anyway: thank you all for thinking and trying to find one!
Thankd you, woot332. This a interesting software, even though the MS comany ban the key very strickly recently.
Thanks for the Util, I see it as very useful and portable for us techies in the world. One small thing I'd like to see is your version # displayed at the top border of the results box. It's always helpful when there have been lots of changes in a very short time to know exactly which one is being used, and to make sure that if there is a problem, to be able to get that out for the correct version it happens in.
Hello, very little nice tool. Can you make it usable as a cmd line tool ? I would like to add it inside MDT and automatically activate Windows after deployment. Thanks. Best regards.
Just wanted to say after a week of trying to unsuccessfully find my windows 8.0 product key, this was the only tool that actually worked and found the correct key. Huge kudos and thanks to the developer! I was about to give up before I came across this.
just out of curiosity, did you go into the bios menu and look at the pc info there? some HP show the key in that menu section. Strange but true story!
I have a Samsung and with everything I did all it was showing was the generic key. I did look through the bios and didn't see it or wasn't clever enough to identify it. I tried other tools and all they showed was the invalid key, which was most likely in the registry (don't quote me on that though as I am far from an expert). I had also tried rw-everything and it crashed my computer. So this was the best and only accurate option that worked for me.
well you did find a very efficient and useful tool here. Very light and very handy. I use it on a USB while running around stores/work/etc lol
I hate to ask such a basic question, but how do you run this? I am a new user of windows 8 and not sure how (what app) to use to run it. thanks for the help
I got it but it says its not the right one. My Lenovo Yoga came with windows 8.1 installed and works fine but it keeps wanting me to activate window using the product key. It didn't like the key I got using pkeyui.exe, although the last five digits are correct.
