    Hello.

    Thank you for your product.

    Here is my situation.

    1. I bought a dell laptop with windows 8 on it
    2. I requested an extra DVD, and they sent me a win8 OEM dvd
    3. I installed linux after formatting the computer
    4. I wanted to install win8 OEM DVD In a virtual machine in Linux
    5. It prompts me for product key...

Can I use your program to extract the expected product key from the Win8 OEM DVD while putting the win8 OEM DVD in another windows machine, or must I install this win8 OEM DVD and then extract the product key so I can delete that installation and install it through the virtual machine?

My end desire is only to have one installation, but inside a VM.

    Thanks!

Noop... oem activation is different in 8. You can use KMS activation inside the VM.

But how? I can't even get it to install prior to asking for product key. It does it right after choosing language, I think.

Thanks, but none of those say for OEM version? It is windows 8 single language (EM) (OEM Activation 3.0 required).

Oopss... then you can't activate it under VM. Download the Pro one, then activate it by KMS.
