The product key in registry is decoded by default if and only if a msdm table is present can you view the product key there.
Hello Woot... ...the tool works great under W7 and W8... Thanks... BTW: Do new features (v1.4.4 and above) work in Vista?
Windows Media Center Complication I had this same issue. As indicated in this answer on superuser.com (I joined to send this, so I don't have enough posts to use a link: google "site:superuser.com windows 8 product key media center internet explorer", use the first result, and it is in the 2nd answer, 2nd to last paragraph), one way to get it is with Belarc Advisor, and to check the "Internet Explorer" key. It will be the one used to install and activate windows. I was able to confirm this, because when I used that one, it worked, and when I checked my laptop, it was the right key I used to install.
v1-4-7 works great BTW: Will you add Vista SLIC(MSDM) detection later? I've lot of Vista PCs in work and this will be handy. BTW: In Windows 7 x32 (SLIC v2-2 DELL) IE10RTM it doesn't show "IE Key".
Hmm strange, it works in my vm setup with Win7 x86 SP0. I've added Windows Vista slic detection too, version 1.4.7c just tested in vm with Daz loader.
