The other day computer installed updates and now this box keeps popping up on start up Code: To use Windows without interruption this computer needs to be running genuine Windows Its an HP desktop that originally had Vista. I installed win 7 ultimate and used Daz loader 2 years ago Its not my computer so I dont know state of activation just my job to fix it I thought if you used Daz's loader it appears activated from M$ propective
I always thought that when Daz's loader is used it looks 100% genuine to M$ I have seen some posts from people with genuine win7 have this problem I dont think its un-activated its this update that thinks its illegal what about remove WAT what does that do
Never, ever, use RemoveWat. The best way to diagnose things would be with an mgadiag report, as described in post#1 of the Windows Loader Support thread. But an MS update last week (KB3004394) has caused problems for even legit users, resulting in corruption of important system files. It is undoubtedly just a fraction of all users who have trouble, and what causes the update to not install cleanly on some systems is not clear.
I told her to do a system restore before update and turn updates off I personally only do updates very selectively I was reading about this fix Install KB3024777 to fix an issue with KB3004394 it wont let me post link as I dont have 20 posts only 18
Is in no way related to the Loader, since it affected legit systems likewise. For that reason i would still recommend to install all updates, they do offer them for a reason (although it might not look that way the last time) .
