Is it possible that one index not use the autounattended.xml
and that the other index use the autounattended.xml

    so
    one index is Unattended
    and the other not

can you slipstream the autounattended or somthing?

    thx

Windows Setup searches for answer files at the beginning of each configuration pass, including the initial installation and after applying and booting an image. If an answer file is found, and it contains settings for the given configuration pass, it processes those settings.

    So let's break it down

cpi: offlineImage cpi:source= ---- Location of the DVD or installation share

    "wim:f:/sources/install.wim#Windows 8 Pro"
---- The location of the wim file used during Windows SIM editing and the SKU. If you have a wim with multiple indexs, you will need to specify the correct one.

There is a reference line used by windows SIM that shows what location source was used when editing the unattend.xml
That is all that this is. It can be safely ignored and the autounattend.xml will be used for all indexs

It should be possible to combine your autounattended.xml for each index into one big xml for all indexs. I would imagine it would skip the settings that isnt for that specific index.

I don't think you can. Maybe you can integrate to every index their own \windows\panther\unattend.xml file...
