Snapping three (or four) apps does NOT work (in 1024x768 and 1152x864), maybe that feature needs a resolution higher than 1366x...
Anyone know how to get the new advanced settings panel back after changing over to the old style one ?
Anyone managed to install .NET 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 yet ? I think that might be stopping things like StartIsBack and Start8 from working
The installer (via add Features) needs some packages and therefore a connection to Windows Update, but it should be possible to bypass it using the source Parameter.
Yea I managed it using this line: Code: DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:d:\sources\sxs
From what I've seen of it, when I had it installed. I'm convinced MS rushed out the release of Win 8, and this update will be the real "RTM" of Win 8.
So results: 1. I just examined "IE 11" and only change is the number in About box, nothing more, browser core is same as 10 (also html5test.com gives same 320 + 6 points). 2. The new Immersive Control panel mostly contains "Under Construction" pages and it is terrible mess, I also changed backgroud color of start screen during installation and then get many unwanted artefacts (boxes around symbols like Power-Off). Also I didn't find the setting in NEW Immersive Control Panel to change it back to installer's default. 3. Store is disabled. 3. Transparency via WinAeroGlass.exe is damaged, because window title is glowed differently. (Of course UXstyleCore x64 will not work on this x32 build, so no custom themes can be applied...) It is also lost time to trying to patch this. 4. Boot to desktop hack by importing explorer license file from W7 doesn't work (the value is cleaned correctly in tokens, but it doesn't boot to desktop then - rather to "empty start screen")... ...so nothing works and everything what worked in b9200 is spoiled. It is lost time to tamper with this b9364... :/
So basically MS is trying to spit in our faces. Every workaround we have, start8, startisback, boot direct to desktop etc... are all hosed? Yeah they had to have done that on purpose.
