don't think so anyway action center will give you a message if it catches some file. you cant type defender in search to bring up the program
Easy To Run Windows Defender From Control Panel You can get to Windows Defender in Control Panel. You can run a scan. You can check for quarantined files. You can update the definition. It looks and works like Windows Security Essentials.
On Windows 8 Start Menu click below the Icons to get: Click on Apps in lower right blue Filed (or whatever color you had chosen) to get: move the screen form right to left and Right Click on Windows Defender: Chose what ever you like to do now. That's all.
yes but that is the app in start and he wanted on tray, and like I said defender don't have a tray icon on windows 8
taskbar is not tray tray is those icons on bottom right side and defender messages appears on the action center icon ( the flag one)
You're talking about the System Tray. If the use of the Taskbar isn't enough and you don't mind about to use a lot mor resources for to run Defender the whole time, go ahead and run from System Start, which should work. Haven't tested yet and will not also.
that is on system tray mate and that was what fantomas wanted to have the defender icon on system tray like MSE ... but like I said defender the system tray icon for defender IS the action center icon ( where the suspicious files messages appear) pin to start and pin to taskbar is not the same thing has having an icon on system tray like he wanted
lunario is right, i wanted just to add Defender to System Tray (exactly like MSE). I thought some reghack exist to do that.
