I run Kaspersky Total Security 2016. From what I read Windows Defender was supposed to work alongside existing AV installations as a periodic scan. I can enable it. But the next time I reboot it's disabled again and WD bitches and moans about not being enabled. I think I will just disable it entirely since it's not working as it should.

Also I used to have a picture for my account login and it only shows on the task menu as a small icon now and if I sign out. It not longer shows on the startup lock screen. I just get an anonymous round image on the startup screen.

Why is it Windows always breaks s**t at each upgrade cycle?

I think I read somewhere that Kaspersky 2016 isn't fully compatible with RS1, so perhaps it's what is forcibly turning Defender off every time?

The other bug is known and probably will be fixed with the next cumulative update.
