Anybody know how to access that performance tester they demoed in the keynote on day 1? Is it even available in this build?
Any help. My system does not sleep on Windows 8. I put it in stand-by/sleep mode but when resuming it never does just a black screen and I need to shut off and on to get it working.
Same here. I am using a force 2 ssd and when resuming from sleep I get a black screen and I have to shut off the system also. Anyone able to get flip 3d to work?
So was my WDP but only once...I ran Automatic maintenance and problem was disappear...Maybe that just in my case...
Well i guess their internal statistic showed that nearly nobody actually used the feature but everyone still used Alt+Tab So now Win+Tab is the shortcut for going through the Apps, so you can use either mouse or keyboard for switching on a PC without touch.
I am back in Win 7 and I am so used to using the flip 3d by pressing Win+Tab or using my mouse middle side button on the MX1000 mouse. I thought that was one of the best new features in Win 7.
- go to desktop. - open windows explorer. in the address field type "start menu" it will automatically find your programs directory and list the full path (user account/appdata/roaming/microsoft/windows/start menu/programs) - browse to accessories - create a shortcut, type "shutdown.exe -s -t 00" for the shortcut - right click on the short cut and choose properties, change icon and pick one from shell32.dll - go back to Metro, click search from the start and type Shutdown in the search field. The shutdown shortcut you created will show on the left. - right click on the app. It will get a check mark. at the bottom right you should see a(n) pin/unpin button. make sure you see the unpin icon (which means it's pinned). Now you will have a tile Shutdown in Metro on the very right list.
